The response from the calltakers has been great. They love the new Simons.
Sanford, Florida, May 28, 2003
Southwest Florida's Collier County, at 2,025 square miles, is the largest land mass county east of the Mississippi River. It's also one of the fastest growing counties in Florida. Located in Naples, the Collier County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) handled nearly half a million calls for service in the last year.
When the time came to move to a new facility, the CCSO chose to upgrade to a new Positron 9-1-1 call handling system by adding 13 Simon CTI consoles to their Life Line 100 ANI/ALI Controller. Sandi Chernoff, Collier County 911 Coordinator, told us "The response from the calltakers has been great. They love the new Simons."
With desktop space at a premium, Collier County needed a call handling solution that could work in tight spaces. The Simon system, sold and supported by Sprint, provides the comm center's calltakers a wealth of functionality in a compact, easy to use touchscreen console. All 9-1-1 and administrative call functions, call log, call recording and TTY features are at their fingertips.
Positron is proud to welcome Collier County to the Simon family.
