Positron Hurricane Katrina Support Program

All of us at Positron Public Safety Systems would like to extend our heartfelt thoughts and sincere wishes for a speedy recovery to everyone affected by the recent tragic storm. We would like you to know that we stand ready to support you to the fullest extent of our capabilities and that we have implemented extraordinary measures in order to ease the recovery effort.

Our call center (toll free 1-800-361-2596) has live personnel available from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. EST to handle all requests for service for hurricane Katrina related issues. There are technicians dedicated to your calls, so please state that you are calling from an agency impacted by the hurricane and your call will be routed accordingly.

Our manufacturing facility is working overtime to increase production and inventory of PSAP replacement equipment. Positron aims to have fully staged systems ready to be deployed within short notice from you of your specific needs. We are making arrangements to warehouse this equipment locally in Baton Rouge, Louisiana so as to expedite the deployment of these systems in the affected areas.

A dedicated team of installation experts based out of Louisiana is on standby and will be able to deploy your systems as soon as notice is provided. Additionally, Positron is in daily contact with local BellSouth Service Managers to coordinate and plan our installation efforts with the resumption of 9-1-1 communication links from the BellSouth central offices to your PSAP.

Positron has been and will continue to be contacting you directly in the coming days and weeks to assess your needs for support. In the event that we have not contacted you, we have established a daily hotline conference bridge from 5:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST where you can reach us to discuss your specific needs. As of Tuesday September 6th, you may dial the conference bridge at 1-800-201-6800, access code 5963801#, where you will be able to speak with senior managers at Positron to plan your recovery efforts.

Positron is deeply saddened from the damage and loss inflicted by the hurricane and we are determined to assist you now and for however long it takes to fully recover from this tragic storm.
