Power Jail - Commissary Module
Power Jail - Commissary Module The Power Jail Accounting and Commissary system is a complete accounting package for managing Jail inmate and agency accounts, a checking account, and commissary with inventory control and receipt printing capabilities. The system is available standalone or can be used in conjunction with the Power Jail module.

An interface with the Jail Management System provides a completely automated billing function that generates transactions for inmate services (booking fees, pay to stay, daily fees, etc.). Additionally, Jail Accounting can be configured to retain a negative inmate account balance for a subsequent inmate stay. The Agency Account Management segment provides a complete, yet flexible, invoicing function for billing other agencies for services.

Account segments provide for the tracking of inmate monies. They also provide tools to manage Jail accounts and cash. Extensive general support functions are provided, including check printing, bank reconciliation, and other reports.

The following are provided:
  • Inmate Account Management
  • Agency Account Management
  • Service Accounts
  • Administrative Accounts
  • Inmate Restrictions, Group Definitions

The agency billing segment provides a flexible method to manage billing to other agencies. Configuration capabilities include the following:

  • Invoicing by:
    • Agency
    • Prisoner

  • Agency information captured for "bill to" purposes

A bar code interface can be used to capture product purchase information and an electronic signature function is also provided.

The Jail Accounting and Commissary system can automatically generate inmate accounts when installed with the Jail Management System and has the ability to create and modify individual inmate accounts. These accounts include the individual's full name, booking number, and prisoner number.

The system also has the ability to create Agency defined "Service" or "Administrative" accounts. Some examples of accounts are as follows:
  • User configured to allow negative balances or requiring funds for transaction:
    • Commissary
    • Clippers
    • Phone Debit Card
    • Barber
