Here's a look at some of the highlights from this year's National NENA conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

We were pleased to once again sponsor Sunday's Welcome Reception - always a great way to kick off the conference. Turnout was great, with many brave souls rising to the occasion for the on-stage karaoke.

The festivities continued on Monday evening at Positron's annual party, held this year at Tequila Willie's, a great open-air riverfront club. Over 500 attendees enjoyed the live band and buffet, and partied well into the night. Who needs sleep anyway?

At our booth, our VoIP based platform - Positron VIPER - was the star of the show. Positron VIPER provides PSAPs with the ability to use VoIP as a telephony layer within their premises in a complete system designed and engineered by Positron. Use of the non-proprietary Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) for the delivery of voice services reflects Positron's commitment to developing flexible, cost effective solutions. Positron VIPER addresses customers' demands for a scalable solution that allows them to move easily and efficiently onto a single physical network by integrating data, voice, and future video/wireless traffic.

We were once again very pleased to welcome our friends and colleagues in the Public Safety industry from across the nation and around the world. This year's NENA conference was a complete success in all respects, and Positron continues to be proud to be associated with and support this important organization.

Hope to see you in Charlotte in 2007!
