ALI Re-Bids - The Positron Approach
Positron MOSAG Positron is pleased to announce the release of the new Mosag-GIS validation product. Positron MOSAG (Master Object Street Address Guide) is a location validation application that can be integrated with Power CAD and Power 911, with or without Power MAP. Location can be address, common place or landmarks, intersection or street name, X,Y, and more. Positron MOSAG uses an advance Address Matching engine to search in the GIS data files to retrieve valid location, X,Y coordinates, and supplemental information such as zones for CAD or ESN for Power 911.

With any emergency event, knowing the precise location is paramount. Validating, determining the jurisdiction and which agency is covering the location quickly is crucial.

Positron MOSAG does just that. The call-takers and the dispatchers can find quickly and easily the information that can help them to qualify the call or to dispatch the right resource in the right place.

How it works;

1- Validation in Power 911

When a call is answered, an automatic validation is done when automatic location identification (ALI) from the telephone company is forwarded to Power 911. The Emergency Service Number (ESN) associated with the valid location is sent back to Power 911. The ESN is used to recommend primary and secondary resources in the Contact module.

Manual validation or search can also be performed for any location with Mosag-GIS.

2- Validation in Power CAD

Power CAD uses Positron MOSAG to validate a location and to retrieve the closet common places and the cross streets. Once the location is valid, the agency zone is then retrieved to recommend the appropriate resources.

Power CAD GUI offers an easy access to the Mosag-GIS validation engine. The Response Detail window includes the Validate button to validate the location or to open Positron MOSAG for a manual search.
